The Joyful Voice
News and Notes from the
Piedmont East Bay Children's Choir

We can tell Fall is coming by the winter gourds ripening, the freshly crisp evenings, and the happy sound of children learning new music. Our teachers speak highly of their students, and the kids who went to sleepaway Choir Camp are about to sing the National Anthem for the Oakland A's!

Bob inspires at Season Preview

Ambassador Circle members and close supporters of the Piedmont East Bay Children's Choir gathered for an exclusive Season Preview, hosted by Board President Annette Clear and her husband Michael Begert at their home.  Artistic Director Robert Geary spoke movingly of how music can transform a child's life and soul, and described the major highlights of the upcoming 30th Anniversary Season. Here's a brief but inspiring clip from Bob's speech at the Season Preview. Watch the video

The composer in our midst has a new commission: Sue Bohlin, Ensemble Associate Conductor and Accompanist, has received a commission from Vivace Youth Chorus. The project involves 4 other composers in all and will use poetry written by young students in San Jose.
